Reavis Ranch Hike

To finish up our requirements on the hiking merit badge, we need a 20-mile hike - so we pick a nice easy day hike (NOT!!) to Reavis Ranch and back from the Apache Lake Trailhead. | |

We camp the night before at the trailhead and start hiking as soon as the sun comes up.

The scenery and wildflowers are incredible right from the start -- but this sure doesn't look like a flat hike!

We made it! Reavis Ranch is beautiful and we have lunch and rest up for the hike back.

| Enough stalling and picture taking - time to hike back - but at least the second 10 miles is all downhill! |

| We made it! But we're too tired to take a picture and prove it. But we finished before dark and we treat ourselves to dinner and then home for a hot shower -- if only I could feel my feet! |
