Greg's Eagle Project

April 2003

Greg worked with Dick Mickle from the City of Tempe to build a trail to an ancient Native American historical site. His project involved clearing the trail, lining the trail with rocks, and then pouring a cement walkway onto the trail. Mucho trabajo!
Greg divides everyone up into groups; some will be clearing the trail, others will be carrying rocks to line the trail, and others will be mixing and pouring the cement base.

Mom and Dad and even Greg's little sister are here to help!
Come on everyone, there's lots more rocks to carry!

Greg shows Cody how to line the trail

Brian H, Matt, and Brian M making a path to an informational sign.
Cody and Forrest haul water up from the canal to mix with the cement.

Ben: I wonder if there are any rocks around here I can carry?
Matt loads more rocks into the wheelbarrow.

Ancient burial site discovered by Kayla?
If we hide behind this bush, do you think Greg will notice??

Peace, Cody!
Mr. Smith and Mr. Howell shovel rocks.
James fills up buckets with water - unfortunately we find out the buckets have holes in the bottom!
Let's go find that bush again, Kayla, there's too many rocks to lift here!
Shh, don't tell Greg where we are!

Great job, Greg!!!
