Cody's Eagle Project
November 2003

Cody worked with Dick Mickle of the City of Tempe to plan his Eagle project. He closed a trail that was being illegally used as a pathway to a sacred ancient Native American site and revegetated the area to prevent traffic and let the desert in this area of A Mountain return to its natural state.
We got an early start and Cody instructed everyone on the jobs to be done, which included breaking up rock to remove the foot trail and planting new cacti and desert plants in the area to return the area to its natural state.
 | |
Ben, Forrest, and Brian work at digging out rocks to break up the trail.
Mr. Mickle, Mr. Gaylord, and Drew wait for instructions on where to plant the plants that Cody has had donated for his project. |
Yvonne, Wendy, and Kent plant cacti.
Mr. Mikac gets the soil ready for new plants. |

 | Hey Dillon, how are you going to carry water with that bottle?
 | After everything is planted, it's time to water all the plants.

All done! Great job, Cody! |
