Apache Lake Canoe Campout

I can't believe I forgot to take a group picture!! We drive past Lake Roosevelt - stopping to pick up our Tonto passes (don't ask me what to do with them) and here we are entering the campground.. time to stop the car and put the passes in the windshield!!

Some of us get to camp early in Friday to save camp sites for the rest of the group and we have plenty of time for a hike by the lake -- and some of us have time for a nap!

The Scouts start arriving later in the evening and setting up camp. Here's Johnathan teaching a couple Eagle Scouts how to put up their tent... um, is this pole supposed to be bent like this?

Mr. Pendleton looks happy, he must have already had his coffee this morning! Time to hit the lake, Scouts!

This looks like the place! This is a Geocache placed here at Apache Dog by the troop on a campout in 2002. We brought a new container and notebook.

I think some of these things have been in here since 2002!

We end the night with jokes, skits, and a camp cheer heard throughout the campground -- WADATENCHU!!

And of course we stop in Miami at Chalo's for some Mexican food on the way home!!
