About Troop 697
We are a Boy Scout Troop in the Salt River District of the Grand Canyon Council of Arizona. Our weekly meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday nights at St. James Episcopal Church on the southeast corner of Warner and Rural Roads in Tempe, Arizona. Please visit our sponsoring organization, St. James Episcopal Church.
We have a strong emphasis on outings, with monthly activities including backpacking, camping, canoeing, rock climbing, caving, hiking, and more. In addition, our troop attends multiple summer camps each year, including Camp Geronimo, Camp Cherry Valley on Catalina Island, and a yearly high-adventure outing such as Philmont, Boundary Waters, and Florida Sea Base.
